TERMS OF SALE
Terms of sale and use
LAST UPDATED 2 NOVEMBER 2026 · VERSION 2026-11-02
These terms apply between you and the owner of dv2mp4.com (details in the legal notice). By creating an account or buying a pass you agree to them. Please also read the privacy policy.
1. The service
You upload DV or MiniDV video files. We convert them to MP4 and show you a free, watermarked preview. With a yearly pass you can download the clean converted files. Files are deleted from our server 24 hours after upload, so download what you need within that time. dv2mp4 is not a storage or backup service: keep your original tapes and files.
2. Your account
You need an account to buy a pass. Use a real email address, keep your password private, and don't share your account. You can close it at any time by emailing us.
3. Price and payment
The yearly pass costs €10 per year. The price shown at checkout is the final price. Payment is taken by Stripe when you buy; we never see your card details.
4. Automatic renewal and cancelling
The pass renews automatically each year at the same price, charged to the same payment method, until you cancel. You can cancel at any time with MANAGE in your account, or by emailing us. Cancelling stops the next renewal; your pass keeps working until the end of the year you've paid for. We don't give partial refunds for the remaining time, except as set out in section 5.
5. Your right to cancel within 14 days
As a consumer in the EU you normally have 14 days from purchase to cancel and get a full refund, without giving a reason.
Because the pass gives you access to downloads straight away, at checkout we ask you to confirm that you want access to start immediately and that you lose this right once you download a converted file (Article 103 of the Spanish consumer protection law, Real Decreto Legislativo 1/2007, and the EU Consumer Rights Directive). We email you a confirmation of this.
- Haven't downloaded anything yet? You can cancel within 14 days for a full refund.
- Downloaded a file? The 14-day right has ended. You can still cancel future renewals at any time (section 4).
To cancel within 14 days, email contact@dv2mp4.com, for example:
To [not filled in yet: LEGAL_NAME], [not filled in yet: LEGAL_ADDRESS], contact@dv2mp4.com:
I hereby give notice that I withdraw from my contract for the dv2mp4 yearly pass, ordered on [date]. Name: [your name]. Account email: [your email]. Date: [today's date].
We refund you within 14 days of receiving your message, to the same payment method, at no cost to you.
6. Your videos
Only upload videos you own or have permission to use, and nothing illegal. Your videos stay yours; we use them only to convert them for you, and delete them automatically as described above. We may remove files and close accounts that break these rules.
7. If something goes wrong
We work hard to keep dv2mp4.com running and conversions accurate, but we can't promise the site will always be available or that every damaged tape file can be converted. If a conversion fails or isn't right, contact us and we'll look into it.
Nothing in these terms limits your legal rights as a consumer, including our liability for things the law doesn't allow us to exclude. Otherwise, we are not responsible for indirect losses, and our total liability to you is limited to what you paid us in the last 12 months.
8. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. Changes don't affect a year you've already paid for. If a change affects your pass, we'll email you before your next renewal, and you can cancel if you don't agree.
9. Complaints and law
Please contact us first at contact@dv2mp4.com and we'll try to sort it out. If you live in Spain you can also contact your local consumer office (OMIC) or regional consumer authority.
These terms are governed by Spanish law. If you are a consumer, you keep the protection of the law of the country where you live and can bring a claim in its courts.
